Transformations

Transformations was created to serve the specific healing needs of First Nations communities. Our programs speak directly to the impacts of residential schools and generations of systemic harm, creating space to name what has too often been silenced.

Rooted in a contemporary, experiential approach to learning, Transformations moves beyond lectures and theory into lived, embodied change. Participants learn by doing, reflecting, and connecting, which greatly increases both impact and retention.

From the very first session, we work carefully to build a safe, respectful circle where people can be honest, real, and fully themselves. In that safety, individuals and communities can see, feel, and practice new possibilities for life, relationship, and future—often in truly transformational ways.

How We Help

Transformations weaves traditional practices such as drumming, honouring the land, smudging, sacred fires, and talking circles into every part of the experience. These practices ground the work in culture, ceremony, and community.

Our approach is holistic, caring for emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental wellbeing together—not as separate pieces. In a safe, compassionate environment, participants feel supported enough to let down their guard and begin to explore a new way of being.

Through monthly events, youth camps, and team development programs, Transformations remains dedicated to the health and wellness of First Nations across Canada.

Our Story
Transformations began in October 2015 with an invitation to assist a First Nations community that was facing significant challenges. While it was only supposed to be a one-time event, since that initial experience, we have grown to the point wheere more than 2,000 people have participated across 78 events with over 165 nations participating.

Our vision to support the needs of First Nations communities continues to expand and the next chapter is still to be written. Join us!
